What this site knows about youalmost nothing

Everything, point by point, is below.

  • No ads on the site

There are no ads on this site, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

  • Statistics without names

We count visits: which page was opened, in which language, from which country, on a phone or a computer, and which site you came from. And listening: which movements were played, whether they were heard to the end, whether concert mode was opened. For this we set no cookie, keep no address of your device and do not know who you are. Your browser keeps only a list of what has already been counted today, so nothing is counted twice. The records delete themselves after about a year.

  • What stays on your device

The theme, the volume, the Whole Requiem mode, the text size and night colours in concert mode, the name from the moment of remembrance in Hostias and other settings are kept only in your browser and are not sent to us. Until you sign in, your answers in Myth or fact and the movements you have heard are kept there too. Your language choice sits in the hc-lang cookie, so the site opens in your language. All of this disappears when you clear the site's data in your browser.

  • The microphone in concert mode

Concert mode asks for the microphone only when you switch it on yourself. The sound is processed on your phone and forgotten straight away: we do not record it, store it or send it anywhere. The microphone turns off as soon as you close the mode.

  • Signing in with Google

Signing in is optional: the site works fully without it. If you sign in, we receive your email, your name and a link to your avatar from Google, and nothing else. We do not store the avatar: your browser fetches the picture from Google directly, and only you see it. We keep your email and name to carry your progress between devices, to sign your comments and posts, and now and then to write when a new work or something big appears on the site. You can unsubscribe from those emails with the link in the email itself.

  • Your answers on the feelings map

What you answered to "what did you feel" is kept with your account, and you can change it at any time. Others see only the shared counters, with no names.

  • Comments

A comment under a movement is visible to every visitor, together with your name from Google. You can delete your comment at any time.

  • News subscription

If you left your email in the subscription form, we keep only the address, the language and the date. The subscription starts once you confirm it by email. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email.

  • Letters and feedback

When you write through the form or by email, we see the text and your address if you gave it. We use them only to reply and to fix what the letter is about.

  • Concerts on the map

When you share a concert, we keep what you wrote, the point on the map, the photos, the video and your first name from Google (no surname). Once checked, all visitors can see it. On the site a photo is a smaller copy without the location or the phone model; only the person checking the post sees the original with that data. In a video your browser wipes that data out of the file itself before sending it to us. The map is drawn from OpenFreeMap tiles: their server sees your device's address, as any site serving an image does. Searching for a hall or an address goes through our server to OpenStreetMap, which does not see your address. You can delete your post at any time - your words, photos and video go with it. The concert itself - the date, the venue, the performers - stays on the map once checked: others are already looking at it, and someone may be planning to go. Only we can take it down entirely, so write to us. Deleting your account removes all your posts with their photos and video, and the marks you left on other people's.

  • Contributions

Payments happen on Patreon's side under its own rules. We never see or store card details.

  • Where the data is kept

The site, the data and the files are kept in AWS, in Frankfurt (EU). Server logs, which may contain your device's address, are kept for 90 days and are used only to protect against abuse and to sort out failures. We send emails through Gmail.

  • How to delete everything

Your account and everything tied to it is deleted with a button on the My progress page. News - with the link in the email. If you never signed in and left no email, there is nothing on the server that points to you: clearing the site's data in your browser is enough. Any question - write to us.
